www.Careerstube.com (“Careerstube”) is operated by Idaho Special Projects Limited (“Idaho SPL”, “we” or “us”).  Idaho SPL is a private company that recognises that visitors and contributors to Careerstube and the sites using the Careerstube service (“Users” or “you”) value their privacy.  Idaho SPL values Users privacy too.  We could say that we comply with EU and UK Data Protection legislation, but in reality we do much more than that.  Idaho SPL is dedicated to raising the bar in everything it does; whether it’s the technology we use, the application of the technology or the way in which that technology interacts with the world.  We use any personal information that you provide to us strictly in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  To find out more about how we look after you, please read on.

Just to be clear, by using Careerstube or any of the websites using Careerstube service (the "Related Sites"), you agree to us using any personal information that you provide to us (both intentionally and inadvertantly) in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  If you are a registered user of Careerstube or a Related Site we will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by email.  If you are not a registered user then you will need to check back here from time to time if you wish to continue using Careerstube.

What information does this Privacy Policy cover?

This Privacy Policy covers all information collected through Careerstube and Related Sites.  It does not cover any information that you may give on other websites that either link to, or link from Careerstube or Related Sites.  We recommend that you review the privacy policies of all websites you visit.  If you think we could be doing things better, let us know!

What is personal information?

Personal information means information that can either alone, or together with other information that is likely to come into our possession, identify you as an individual.  Personal information does not include anonymised information.

What is the law governing this?

At the most basic level, the law in England and Wales requires that we adhere to eight principles.  We have to make sure that all personal information you provide to us is:

l     Processed for limited purposes

How does Idaho SPL collect information about users and what does it do with it?

All the personal information that we collect is provided to us by you voluntarily in the registration process.  The information collected is used purely for statistical purposes and to ensure your visits work as smoothly as possible.  Your information is not shared between Related Sites.  None of your personal information is displayed publicly.

What if you don't want to give us any personal information?

We only ask for the minimum amount that we need to ensure our service works.  If you do not wish to provide this information then you unfortunately will be unable to upload videos to Careerstube or any Related Site.  You will be able to still view content.

What if the personal information that I provide is no longer up to date?
You need to login and edit your details on the my profile option of your menu choices.

How long do we keep your personal information?
We only keep it as long as strictly necessary, either for the purpose of allowing you to upload videos or because we are under a legal obligation to do so.

Do we disclose your information to third parties?

Sometimes, yes.  For instance we always comply with applicable laws and regulations, and also with lawful government or law enforcement requests. We may also disclose information if we need to do so to protect ourselves or our systems or even, in specific instances, our users.

We may also provide anonymised (non-personal) information for some third parties.

What other steps do we take to protect your information?

When providing any information to us, we provide you access via a secure server.  This encrypts the information that you input before its sent to us. We also have strict security procedures covering the storage and disclosure of your information in order to prevent unauthorised access and to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.  This means that sometimes we may ask you for proof of identity before disclosing any personal information to you.

Do we use any other type of tracking on Careerstube or the Related Sites?

Although we are able to see who uploads what videos, we do not track information that can specifically identify users.  We do use a web statistics package to help us identify aggregate usage of the site (how many users etc).
